Bihar Police S.I Selection Process:

BPSSC Sub Inspector  Selection Process comprises of following steps.

 Bihar Police Sub Inspector written Exam:

Bihar Police  Sub Ordinate Service Commission will conduct written exam for all eligible applicants. The written exam will conduct in 2 phases i.e.  Pre Exam and Mains exam. Written exam for all stages will be objective multiple choice type.

Bihar Police Sub Inspector Pre Exam Pattern 2017

1. One Question paper in Sub Inspector Pre Exam of 200 Marks.
2. Total 100 questions in the Preliminary written exam.
3. Time Duration for Bihar Police Sub Inspector Pre Exam is 120 minutes
4. Negative marking of 0.20 marks is applicable  in pre-exam
5. Questions from General Knowledge and current affairs in pre-exam.

Important Note:

Applicants have to secure minimum 30% marks to qualify for Mains Exam. for Mains exam applicants will be called 20 times of total vacancies based on results for pre-exam.

Bihar Police Sub Inspector Mains Exam Pattern 2017

1. BPSSC SI Mains Exam comprises of 2 papers, Both papers will be objective type.

2. Time Duration for both papers of mains exam is 120 minutes ( 2 hrs)

3. Negative Marking of 0.20 marks is also applicable in mains exam.

IMPORTANT NOTE :

1. Applicants have to secure minimum 30% marks in paper I of General Hindi otherwise applicants will be disqualified.
2. Marks on Paper I will not count in the final merit list.
3. For Physical applicants will be called 6 times of total vacancies as per the result of mains exam.

Bihar Police Sub Inspector Syllabus 2017 Pre Mains Exam:

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND CURRENT EVENTS:  Culture and Religion, Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland Harbours, Freedom Movement, Sports:  championships/ Winners/ Terms /No. of Players, Defence, Wars and Neighbours, Current Affairs, Important National Facts about India, Heritage and Arts, Dance, History, Languages, Capitals and Currencies, National Bird/ Animal/ Sport/ Flower/ Anthem/ Song/ Flag/ Monuments, Eminent Personalities, Common Names, Full forms and Abbreviations, Discoveries, Diseases and Nutrition, Award and Authors.

GENERAL HINDI:  Mainly focus on the topics like synonyms, antonyms, sentence error sentence correction, fill in the blanks, comprehension and close test etc.

GENERAL STUDIES:  Question will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current events, Geography, Economy etc. The focus will be on current national and international events, banking, sports etc.

GENERAL SCIENCE:  Questions of General Science will include testing knowledge of matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who did not study science as a subject. It will also include the knowledge of the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology form level of 12th class standard.

CIVICS, INDIAN HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY OF INDIA:  Questions of Social Study will include Indian History, Culture, Geography, Environment, Economic aspects, Freedom Movement, Major features of Indian Agriculture and Natural  Resources and Indian Constitution and Polity, Panchayati Raj, Community Development and five years plan. General Knowledge of the Geographical and Political condition of Bihar.

MATHEMATICS:  Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time and Work, Area, profit and loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem on ages, Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph Pie Chart and Data Interpretation etc.

MENTAL ABILITY TEST (REASONING):  The exam will include questions on analogies, similarities, and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination observation, relationship, concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. Physical Eligibility Test.
