Chaudhary Devi Lal University Sirsa, named after CDLU, the former Deputy Prime Minister of India was established by the Government of Haryana on 2nd April 2003. The University, located at Sirsa district 256 Km from Delhi and 285 km from Chandigarh, has area of 280 cress on the Barnala Road. The University had been recogcnzied by the University Grants Commission and announced eligile for Central Assistance under section 12 (B) of UGC Act vide University Grants Commission Letter No F.9-17/2003 (CPP-1) dated 17/2/2009.
