The Uttar Pradesh Police will make recruitment for 41500 constable to fill all vacant post.  Applicants are very enthusiastic regarding these vacancies because amount of vacancies are very huge. Approximately 1.2 lakh constable (female/male) will be recruited in four years.  As per new selection criteria published in news papers, selection will be based  on written examination ( exam may conduct via online).  Shortlisted applicants will call for physical endurance exam/physical measurement exam.  Candidates  can get expected UP Police constable syllabus 2017-18 form this page itself. • Written examination (Computer based)
• Physical test
• Document Verification
• Medical test

UP Police Physical Exam Pattern :

• Physical Test for UP Police Constable post will be of qualifying nature
• For Male : Race of 4.8 Kms have to complete in 25 minutes
• For Female: Race of 2.4 kms have to complete in 14 minutes 
• Physical exam will be conducted after written exam. 

UP Police Constable Written Exam Pattern 2018 :

a. UPPRBB will conduct constable exam under pen paper mode.

b. UP police exam wil conduct on OMR sheet

c. UPPBPB can conduct only one paper instead of pre and mains exam

d.Written exam will be of objective multiple choice type

e. There can be negative marking of 0.25 marks in the written exam

f. There will be questions from general knowledge, general Hindi, numerical and mental ability, mental aptitude, reasoning  subjects.

g. There is no criteria for minimum  qualifying  marks in the written exam.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE:

Geography, Economics, History, Culture ,Indian Constitution, Sports, Literature, Science, Specific knowledge about Education, Culture and Social Custom of Uttar Pradesh, Revenue, Police and General Administration System in Uttar Pradesh, Protection of Women and Children, Basics/Fundamental of Information & Communication Technology, Environmental Studies, Basics of Language-Hindi Grammar.

GENERAL HINDI: 

लोकोक्तियाँ, मुहावरे, वाक्यांशों के लिए एक शब्द,अलंकार, समास, विलोम, पर्यायवाची, रस, संधियां, तद्भव तत्सम,  अनेकार्थी शब्द वाक्य संशोधन -लिंग, वचन, कारक, काल, वर्तनी, त्रुटि से सम्बंधित

CURRENT AFFAIRS: 

Important Personalities, Appointments, Current events of National and International importance,  Prize, Important Places, Main Committees and Commissions, Burning Issues and Disputes, Major Settlements, Judicial Decisions, Books and Authors, Abbreviations, Miscellaneous.

REASONING ABILITY:

Decision-making, Visual memory, Discrimination, Observation Analogies, Similarities, Differences, Space visualization, Problem solving, Analysis and Judgement , Relationship, Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning , Verbal and figure classification, Arithmetical number series, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, Arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.

Numerical Ability:

Decimals and Fraction, Highest common factor and lowest common multiple, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Number System, Simplification,  Profit and Loss, Discount, Simple interest, Compound interest, Partnership, Average, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Miscellaneous.
