The Railway Protection Force is a security force of India entrusted with protecting Railway passengers, passenger area and Railway property of the Indian Railways. This is the only central armed police force CAPF which has the power to arrest, investigate and prosecute criminals. Force is under the authority of Ministry of Railways India.
The Railway Police Force (RPF) is going to make recruitment on male/female constable posts. There will be 10% reserved seats for female applicants. Age Limit:
Candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years. Age mentioned in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate will only be accepted. ( Age cut off date will be mentioned in notification) For Driver Grade III age limit can be 20 years to 25 years.
Relaxation in upper age limit up to five years will be admissible to candidates belonging to SC/ST category and up to three years to those belonging to OBC category.
Educational Qualification:
The candidate must have passed the Matriculation (10th) or equivalent examination conducted by the recognised board. Educational qualification obtained from institutions other than a recognized state board or Central Board should be submitted with the Government of India notification declaring that like educational qualification is equivalent to matriculation class or employment under the central government.
Pay Scale and Allowances:
The post carries a pay scale of Rs.8460/- in the paying bank of Rs.5200-20200/- including Grade Pay of Rs.2000/- with such allowances that are admissible under Railway norms/rules.
Selection Process:
Constable recruitment will be made based on the performance of the eligible candidates in a written examination, physical efficiency test, Physical Measurement, Viva voce test, bonus marks, if any obtained and documents verification.
Application Fee:
Information will be mention in the official notice as per last notice, applicants have to pay the fee of Rs.40/- is in the form of crossed Indian Postal order or a crossed bank draft. Female candidates, candidates belonging to SC/ST category. Minorities and Economically backward classes and ex-servicemen need not pay the examination fee. This fee was decided in last recruitment.
