Admission Criteria

State Council of Educational Research and Training Odisha on the behalf of Entrance Exam the Entrance Test qualified applicants on the basis of Merit through Counselling will be provided seats in the Institutions.  Admissions to the 30 Diet’s, 04 BIETs, 31 Government Elementary Teacher Education institutions  (GETEIs), 02 Government Elementary Teacher Education Institutions  ( SC and ST Development ) and 01 Non-Government Aided Secondary Training would be provided for the Session  2021.

Eligibility for D.El.Ed Course:

The applicant must fulfill all the eligibility conditions given below. The applicant must have passed Higher Secondary/ +2 Examination in Arts, Science, Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized board/university/councils ( the applicants shall have to submit equivalent certificate from the   competent authority  with a minimum of 5o% of marks in aggregate ( 45% marks in aggregate in case of SC ST SEBC and PH applicants) excluding marks secured in extra optional. he/she must have passed Odisha as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (Plus 2) or have passed Odia in the single subject exam conducted by BSE, Odisha.

Age Limit:

Maximum 30 years for Unreserved (whereas relaxation in upper age shall be provided to reserved categories applicants).

i) All the questions in the D.EI.ED  Entrance Examination shall be multiple choice type.

ii) The Santali contenders seeking admission in the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Mayurbhanj at Baripada for Olchiki D EI ED Course shall have to appear in the Modern Indian Language Subject of the Entrance Exam in Olchiki Language.

Negative Marking:  The performance of the contenders shall be evaluated both on the basis of the correct and incorrect responses recorded in the optical mark recognition based answer sheet. For every incorrect answer, a 0.25 mark shall be deducted from the marks secured by the applicant for the correct Responses.

There would be Negative Marking for a wrong Response as well as if more than one Response was given to a single question.

D.EI.Ed  Entrance Test Structure and Contents 2021

SCERT Odisha D.El.Ed Admission & Seat Distribution:

State Level Selection of all the categories of the applicants shall be made through the Entrance Exam on the basis of their respective marks secured in the Diploma in Elementary Education Entrance Exam.

1. Selection and placement of applicants shall be made purely on the basis of marks secured by him /her in the entrance exam. Merit list shall be published on the basis of the result of the Entrance Exam both category wise and subject wise.  In the case of the higher percentage of marks at Plus 2 level shall be taken into consideration. If the Plus 2 mark becomes tie, in that case, the applicant who born earlier will come first in the merit list.
2. In the case of TIE, the Higher Percentage of marks at higher secondary certificate examination/ senior secondary school certificate examination/ Plus 2 level shall be taken into consideration.  If the Plus 2 marks become a TIE, in that case, the applicant born earlier will come first in the merit list.

SCERT Odisha D.El.Ed Counselling by Mode Via Online 

The fifty percent of the seats for Admission in Government Elementary Teacher Educational Institutions, Phulbani and Baliguda shall be filled up by the applicants of Kandhamal District from the merit list.

Seats in  4 bhadrak Institute of Engineering and Technology shall be filled up by the applicants from SC/ST/Minority Communities of the concerned Block/District.
