उत्तराखंड बोर्ड ऑफ सेकेंडरी एजुकेशन की स्थापना 2001 में हुई थी, यह राज्य में माध्यमिक स्तर की शिक्षा की निगरानी करता है| उत्तराखंड बोर्ड की स्थपना से पहले बोर्ड परीक्षा का संचालन उत्तराखंड शिक्षा एवं परीक्षा परिषद करता था, वर्ष 2008 में उत्तराखंड बोर्ड ऑफ़ स्कूल एजुकेशन कर दिया गया था| करीब 10,000 से अधिक स्कूल इस बॉर्ड से मान्यता प्राप्त हैं | प्रयेत्क वर्ष तीन लाख से ज्यादा विद्यार्थी उत्तराखंड बोर्ड कक्षा दसवीं और कक्षा बारहवीं की परीक्षा में उपस्थित होते है|
