Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has released the notification for Recruitment of 7242 LP Assistant Teacher and 2112 UP Assistant Teacher schools in Assam. Eligibility Criteria for DEE LP UP Teacher Recruitment
Age Limit: Contenders must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years as on 01 January 2021.
Age Relaxation: The category wise age relaxation for different categories are as mentioned here:-
Ex-Servicemen : 42 years
OBC/MOBC: 43 years
SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 45 years
Persons with disability (PwD): 50 years
Small Family Norms: No person having more than two living children on or before 1/1/2021 from a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per the Government Policy on Small Family Norms.
Medium of Instruction: – The language -1 of the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) of the applicant shall match the medium of instruction of the school, wherein the contenders wishes to apply. As for example, if a contender wishes to apply in an Assamese Medium school, the contender must have Assamese as Language -1 in the Assam TET. Likewise, for Bodo/Garo/Bengali/Manipuri/Hindi/Hmar etc. as language-1 in their Assam TET conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam.
Graduate from the University Grants Commission (UGC) recognized University and two year diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed or D. Ed (Special Education) or B. Ed (Special Education) and passed in Assam TET for UPS Conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam.
Science Teacher (UP)
B. Sc from the UGC recognized University and two year diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed or D. Ed (Special Education) or B. Ed (Special Education) and passed in Assam TET for UPS ( Science and Mathematics) conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam.
Assamese Language Teacher
Graduate from the University Grants Commission recognized university having Assamese as one of the subjects and two year diploma in elementary education or B.Ed or D.Ed (Special Education) or B.Ed (Special Education) or B.Ed (Special Education) and passed in Assam TET for UPS conducted by elementary education department Assam.
Manipuri Language Teacher
Graduate from the University Grants Commission having Manipuri as one of the subjects and two year diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed or D.Ed (Special Education) or B.Ed (Special Education) and passed in Assam TET for UPS conducted by Elementary Education Department Assam.
NIOS (ODL) Course:- The contender who has completed the 18 month D.El.Ed course from the NIOS (ODL) will be treated at par and equally with the other applicants who have completed the two year course for the purpose of this recruitment process.
