About WBBSE:
The Board of Secondary Education was established in 1951 under an Act of the State Legislature called the West Bengal Secondary Education Act of 1950. WBBSE was inaugurated by the then Governor of West Bengal Dr K N Katju on 3rd May 1951 and the Board started functioning under the Chairmanship of Sri Apurba Kumar Chanda. The basic task before the Board was two-fold.
- To regulate, control and develop secondary education of the State
- To conduct the School Final Examination
West Bengal WBBSE Madyamik Board Exam 2020-Exam Dates
As per the schedule released by WBBSE the WB Board Madhyamik Xth Board examinations 2020 will begin from February 18, 2020.
Exam Timings: 11:45 am to 3 pm
Students will be given the first 15 minutes for reading the question papers.
WBBSE Madhyamik exams 2020: Routine/Schedule
February 18: Ist language ( Bengali, Gujarati, English, Modern Tibetan, Odio, Nepali, Gurumukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Urdu and Santali).
February 19: Second Languages ( English, if any language other than English is offered as Ist Language.) Bengali or Nepali, if English is the First Language).
February 20: Geography
February 22: History
February 24: Mathematics
February 25: Physical Science
February 26: Life Science
February 27: Optional Elective Subjects
West Bengal Board Madhyamik 10th class Result 2019 Details
Around Ten lack students appeared for the WBBSE 10th class exam this year and the examination was held from February 12 to February 22 the year 2019. The WBBSE announced the WBBSE Xth class Results on 21 May 2019 at 10 AM. Sougata Das topped with 694 marks in West Bengal Board Class Secondary Results 2019. In West Bengal Xth Result 2019, a total of 86.07 % passed. Moreover, East Midnapore topped among district with a pass %age of 96.01%. Kolkata has secured the 2nd spot and West Midnapore secured the 3r Rank.
