The Department of Technical Education, Karnataka had been successful in conducting the examinations for first, year, second year, and final year students. The Department of Technical Education, Karnataka is responsible for spreading technical education in Karnataka state. It has various affiliated colleges throughout the state in which various engineering and non-engineering diploma courses are provided.  After completion of 3 years polytechnic diploma course, DTE awards the students with the  DTE Karnataka Diploma Certificate. The DTE conducts the written examination through a proper schedule and as it conducts the examination through the semester system so written examination takes place in April/May and November/December every year.
